Dr. Arthur Pham was born and raised in Toronto to a family devoted to eyecare. Naturally, that led him to pursue a career as an eye doctor. He was determined to continue providing quality eyecare to his community, as his family has been doing for the past 30 years. Beyond that, Dr. Pham aspires to further transform Saigon Optical and Eyelike Optical into a place where patients of all ages can receive quality and comprehensive eyecare. He brings to the established team a fresh, new and more modern take on how to approach eyecare.
After earning his Bachelors of Science from Queen’s University, Dr. Pham went on and furthered his education at the renowned New England College of Optometry in Boston, earning his Doctor of Optometry. Throughout his training, Dr. Pham had the opportunity to work at various recognized clinical externships, where he gained valuable experience in all of the different facets of eyecare, ranging from primary and family eyecare, to more specialized treatment and management of diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Pham also received extensive training in fitting contact lenses including soft everyday lenses and even specialty hard lenses such as rigid gas permeable lenses and ortho-keratology (slow progression of myopia/nearsightedness).
Dr Pham is board certified both in Canada with the Optometry Examining Board of Canada (OEBC), as well as in the United States with the National Board of Examiners of Optometry (NEBO). He is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
